Victoria Foster Gwin found painting following a 35 year career in interior design. Recognized as a prominent designer on the West Coast, Victoria’s work has been featured in Interior Design Magazine, in House Beautiful Magazine, and The San Francisco Chronicle. Her painting is inspired by her personal collection of abstract movements of the 1950’s.
Victoria graduated from the New York University School of Design. Upon completing her studies, Victoria began working with her father, noted interior designer Norman Foster. Victoria’s work with her father influenced her aesthetic and established a work ethic that builds upon a hands-on, one-on-one relationship with each client. Victoria went on to found and be a partner in Foster Gwin Antiques, a store-front located in San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square district. Victoria was a participant for several years in San Francisco’s Decorator Showcase. This annual event, widely recognized as the West Coast's premiere design show-house event, features the work of the region's top designers.
Victoria recently left her home in San Francisco to retire in Portland, Oregon and pursue her passion for having a full-time painting career.
